Kick the Habit is an application for your iPhone and iPod Touch designed to help you stop smoking.

When you first start Kick the Habit, you will be asked to enter a series of distractions and punishments. A distraction is a simple task you perform to take your mind off smoking, such as doing 25 pushups or practicing scales on a musical instrument for ten minutes. A punishment is exactly what it sounds like: a penalty for breaking down and having a cigarette.

When you feel the urge to smoke, ask Kick the Habit to give you a distraction to help focus your mind on something else. If you do break down and smoke, ask Kick the Habit for a punishment and be prepared to accept your fate. You can use Kick the Habit by itself or in combination with other stop smoking methods.

The Choice is Yours

The main screen of Kick the Habit shows you how long you have been smoke free.

Tap the distraction button to be handed a randomly chosen distraction to perform.

Tap the punishment button to receive your punishment for breaking down and having a smoke.



Distractions

When your feel the urge to smoke, ask for a distraction. Kick the Habit will randomly suggest one from the list of distractions you entered. If you don't like it, you are free to ask for a different distraction.

Stats

The stats screen shows you how many distractions you have needed, the number of punishments doled out, and how many smoking relapses you've had.

You can also see a breakdown of all of the distractions and punishments you've performed.



Punishments

We all have our weak moments, but that doesn't mean we are free from the consequences.

If you do have a cigarette, ask Kick the Habit for your punishment and one will be randomly chosen from the list of punishments you entered.
